Theatres Des Vampires 1994 yılında metal müzik piyasasına farklı bir şekilde giriş yapmışlardı Satanik ögelerle vampirik ögeleri birleştirmiş ortaya black metal üzerine gotik bir hava eklemişlerdi Lord Vampyr 1989 yılından beri metal müziğin içindeydi en sonunda hayali olan kendi grubunu kurmuş ve ona "Theatres Des Vampires" adını vermişti

Kısa bir süre geçtikten sonra Lord Vampyr grubunu tamamlamış ve karanlık düşünceler ve hava içeren şarkılarını 1995 yılında "Nosferatu, Eine Simphonie Des Grauens" adı ile piyasaya sürmüşler ve inanılmaz bir taleple karşılaşmışlardı

Aralık 1995 yılında grup yine zindanların derinliklerinden gelen korkuları, vampir hikayelerini konu alan bir albüm peşinde iken bateristleri grubu terk etme kararı aldı Ama grubun kalan elemanları Lord Vampyr'in yanında kalıp "Vampyrìsme, Nècrophilie, Nècrosadisme, Nècrophagie" albümünü çıkmasını sağlamışlardı

Grup daha sonra sırası ile 1999 - The Vampire Chronicles, 2001 - Jubilaeum Anno Dracula, 2001 - Bloody Lunatic Asylum, 2002 - Suicide Vampire
2003 - Vampyrisme, 2004 - Nightbreed of Macabria albümlerini piyasa sürmüş ve müzik türleri Black metalden daha çok gotik metale kaymıştır

Cradle Of Filth'in benzeri ve taklidi olarak lanse edilen grup simdi kendi özgün müziği içinde yoğun atmosferik ve gotik müzikal ögeleri kullanıp dinleyici kitlesini gün geçtikçe arttırmıştır
