Pillars Of Muslim FaithTürkçe Who is God in Islam? Allah is God, but the Islamic perception of God is different from that of any other religion Muslims know that he is the Creator and everything else is His creation He is the All-knowing, the All-Hearing and the All-Seeing So in order for the belief in Allah to be complete, one must acknowledge that Allah is not only the Creator, but also that He is superior to all of His creation in every way, knowing the thoughts of all of humankind and what is in their hearts All Muslims must believe in it Muslims pronounce the name of Allah at the start of everything Such as “In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate” Muslims also pronounce this phrase before any action that needs blessing, such as before eating, driving car, or taking an exam What is Islamic belief? Islam’s very essence is in believing with your heart, mind and soul that the Creator of the Worlds is one and that He is the Supreme Being Believing means understanding each of six pillars and implicitly trusting that they are real What does Islam mean? Islam comes from arabic word of peace, purity, submission and obedience In the religious sense, Islam means submission to the will of God and obedience to His law What are the pillars of Muslim faith? To fit the Qur`an definition of a believer, you must; 1- Believe in Allah 2- Believe in His Angels 3- Believe in His Holy Books 4- Believe in His Messengers 5- Believe in His fate and destiny 6- Believe in the after life and Last Day If a person does not embrace even just one of these beliefs, it makes that person a non believer In other words, it’s all, or nothing! What are the Pillars of Islam? 1- Declare faith in Allah and in His Prophet Muhammad 2- Perform five prayers a day 3- Spend toward charity 4- Perform pilgrimage to the Kaaba 5- Fast the month of Ramadan If one of these pillars is not established in a Muslim’s heart, his faith would be incomplete What do you think about while some of the Muslims practicing Islam, some don’t ? There are many Muslims who neglect practicing their faith They may skip prayer, ignore giving out the annual alms, or feel too tired to fast the entire month of Ramadan According to Qur’an and Sunnah , such are major faults that make their religion incomplete Allah repeatedly stresses in the Qur`an that all believers must follow the pillars of Islam and perform many good acts if they want to be rewarded Allah says in the Qur’an that Islam is His chosen religion for the peopleTo believe in Him makes one a good person, but may or may not satisfy requirements for Heaven A Muslim who is familiar with the Qur’an knows that she or he can` t live his/her life simply believing without doing anything about it In fact, a Muslim is expected by Allah to fulfill all of the five Pillars of Islam Those five obligation may seem like a lot of worship, but true Muslims perform them diligently with a wholehearted love of Allah |
