A conference titled 'GAP, Cultural Heritage and Tourism: Potantials, Priorities, Problems and Solutions' was organized between the dates of 24 - 27 April 2008 in Lefkosa with the collaboration of GAP Administration, Near East University (TRNC) and Federation of Journalist

The aim of the conference was introducing and promoting GAP, defining and stating the potantials, priorities, problems and solutions of cultural heritage and tourism sector in GAP Region, exchanging of information and experiences regarding the cultural heritage and tourism

Besides an exhibition including hand made products of GAP ÇATOMs (GAP Multi Purpose Community Centers), GAP publications and GAP pictures, was staged in this context

The target group of the conference was media members in TRNC, representatives of tourism agencies, students from Faculty of Communication and Department of International Relations of Near East University
