İkiliksizlik veya İngilizce'deki karşılığı ile "Nondualism" Advaita teriminin batı dillerindeki karşılığı olarak türetilmiştir Terim ilkin Hint kutsal metni Upanişadların İngilizce'deki çevirilerinde kullanılmıştır
